History
Prediggo SA is a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) that commercializes a patented technology called Ontology Filtering. The core technology was developed in 2005 by Dr Vincent Schickel, CEO and Founder of Prediggo, during his PhD thesis at EPFL's Artifical Intelligence Lab.
The first results quickly showed that Ontology Filtering significantly outperformed existing solutions, especially in ecommerce environment where litlle is known about the customer. In 2007, EPFL supported the project and financed 1 year of market evaluation. It soon became obvious that current solutions were inadequate and that there was a real need for news tools. After the market evaluation, the founders incorporated the company at the end of 2008 and started the sales across Switzerland. Soon afterwards, Prediggo crossed the Alps and convinced prestigious customers in France and the Netherlands. Today Prediggo is present in many European countries and is launching in the USA.

To keep offering our customers the most advanced software, Prediggo has ongoing research projects with EPFL.
However, our customers are our biggest source of innovation, with most of our new tools issued from their collaboration.
